Individually and collectively, we have consulted to hundreds of clients worldwide including many Fortune 500 organizations. Here is a small sampling of some of the larger engagements that we have supported as a team.

  • Multi-National Oil and Gas Company: Implemented a four-year management of change and process safety Management initiative across all major operating units of a large oil and gas company in Canada, resulting in a double-digit reduction in major process safety incidents and catastrophic events including fires, releases and shutdowns. Our work laid the foundations for their present process safety and operational excellence systems and was a key component in creating a strong safety culture that is the cornerstone of their corporate core values.
  • Multi-National Pipeline Company: Executed a three-year operational excellence improvement project for a top North America pipeline company. Implemented a process safety management redesign using client-led core teams to assure cross-functional engagement and employee buy-in. The approach focused heavily on employee operational risk awareness and leadership soft-skill development as it related to promoting operational risk awareness. The work resulted in a significant reduction in process safety incidents and employee injuries.
  • Major U.S. Healthcare Provider: Completed a four-year safety management systems and operational excellence improvement initiative across twelve hospitals for one of the largest healthcare systems in the US. We focused our efforts on creating world-class operational excellence, operational risk management and safety management systems by leveraging our collective experience through client working teams within each hospital. The teams were networked across the healthcare system based on function, process and risk. Thus, we jointly created not just the operating systems, tools and metrics necessary for the transformation, but also built the organizational structures, value-based rituals and employee skills that assured the sustainability of our improvements. This was a large effort that resulted in double-digit reductions in injury/incident rates and workers compensation claims to date.
  • Global Food and Consumer Products Manufacturer: Led a global two-year safety culture and operational risk management improvement initiative across dozens of operating sites in North and South America for one of the largest international food and consumer products manufacturers. Our effort included the training and coaching of managers, supervisors and employees, as well as the redesign and implementation of a robust safety and operational risk management systems. Our efforts were subsequently leverage by the client to other global regions and have permanently improved their worldwide operations.
  • Global Chemical Company: Assessed the safety culture and operational risk management systems of a global chemical company across all four of their international regions. Conducted extensive visits and interviews as well as surveys and system reviews. Processed the results in a set of regional workshops focused on leveraging strengths and closing existing gaps pertaining to our four primary operational and organizational areas: leadership/employee development and engagement, operating systems, risk management and change management. Utilized cross-functional workshops to align on corrective actions and strengthen leadership skills which were necessary to engage employees in the improvement journey.
  • Global Materials Manufacturing Company: Evaluated and initiated the operational excellence and safety culture transformation of a global materials manufacturing company in a phased approach that began with a detailed multi-regional operational risk assessment and ended with targeted implementation support. The initial global assessment included employee surveys, document reviews, system reviews, site visits, interviews and workshops.  The results of our assessment were documented in a detailed summary report and presented to leadership and key stakeholders in a half-day visioning and planning session. Working jointly with our client, we defined a clear path forward and provided the customized tools and targeted guidance necessary to achieve the next level of safety and operational excellence.
